As of Auguat 15, 2011 – The remains of 11 sex workers and two children, one unborn, were found in a mass gravesite west of Albuquerque, NM in Feb, 2009. The bodies have been buried for as many as 7 or 8 years given the dates of their diappearences which were throughout 2003 and 2004. While the police are guessing Lorenzo Montoya was responsible for these deaths, there is continued speculation that others were involved. This case remains unsolved. The reward has been increased to $100,000 for any information leading to the arrest of the killer(s).
As of August 16, 2011 – Finding the mass gravesite in the West Mesa of Albuquerque, NM gives hope that other missing sex workers from Albuquerque will be found as well. There were an additional 13 sex workers reported missing between July 1998 and June 2006. The bodies of 2 have been found and identified, yet all their cases remain unsolved.
